Information
Thank you for your interest in hosting a panel/workshop at AnimeNJ++! Please take a moment to review the following panels guidelines and expectations before submitting your panel application.
Panel applications will be open from June 11th, 2026 until August 25th, 2026. Accepted panelists will need to purchase a convention badge before the panel can be officially accepted. Applicants will be contacted by our Panels Staff with the status for the application during the week of September 21st, 2026 to September 25th, 2026. Accepted applicants must confirm the acceptance at that time to finalize the panel for the convention.
Rules & Guidelines
Policies
AnimeNJ++ hopes that you will have a wonderful time running a panel and help enrich the experience for all the other attendees at the convention. However, please be aware that there are a few guidelines you must follow when applying for your panel:
- Panel acceptance will be contingent upon completing a paid pre-registration for AnimeNJ++, to be provided within 2 weeks of panel acceptance.
- There are 60 and 90 minute time slots available for panels. Setup and breakdown time is included in this. Other durations will be discussed on a case by case basis. Please make a note in the Notes section of the Panels Application if you would like to request a different duration.
- Although AnimeNJ++ strives to be as family-friendly as possible, we do allow panels with adult (18+) material. These panels will be given a late night time slot (either Friday or Saturday night). Please indicate on your application if adult (18+) material is likely to appear in your panel (note: 18+ panels cannot have any live action pornographic images or videos, any real life gore images or videos, or any content that may be offensive to any audience. Hentai, cursing, and violence – within reason – are allowed for 18+ panels, only).
- A panel can have as many panelists as needed, but please keep it reasonable. More than four panelists is generally pushing it. Keep in mind the reimbursement policies below (no more than two panelists may earn credit for a single panel).
- Panelists must be 16 years of age or older by November 13th, 2026; panelists running an 18+ panel must be 18 years of age or older by November 13th, 2026.
- Submission of a Panels Application is a proposal. AnimeNJ++ holds the right to not choose your panel for the convention.
- Panelists shall be respectful to AnimeNJ++ staff, Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/Meadowlands staff, and fellow attendees.
Reimbursement
AnimeNJ++ will provide registration reimbursement as a thank you for providing your services as a panelist. Reimbursement is contingent on successful completion of all scheduled panels and adherence to all convention policies.
Panelists must complete a minimum of 120 minutes of panels content to be eligible for reimbursement.
Reimbursement only applies to the person/people who conduct the panel, as specified on the application. There is a maximum of two panelists per panel who will be reimbursed. The maximum reimbursement for a single person will not exceed the pre-registration cost and will be mailed in the form of a check or as a refund via Eventeny after the completion of the convention weekend.
Panels & Workshop Application
Please complete the below application to the best of your ability and as complete as possible. This application, and the contents held within, shall be used by our Panels Staff to select the panels for AnimeNJ++. Please ensure that you read all policies and information ahead of applying, as submitting an application binds you to these policies, if accepted.
Please submit a separate application for each panel you are interested in submitting.
Please note – this is not a first-come-first-accepted system. We will review all applications equally and fairly once applications have closed and will select from the list of applications for the schedule. Please try to be as clear as possible with your application and what your panel entails to allow for the easiest review of your submission.
